| King George II of England granted Baron DeGrau,
an officer in the German army, a large parcel of land in what is now
Newberry County. The Baron arrived in 1752 with David DeWalt and
many other settlers. This house was built by Daniel DeWalt, the son of
David, in 1832. This very
private elegant room is filled with romance - from the high four poster queen
bed to the lace curtains and fireplace. The large
connected bathroom/dressing room contains a two person jacuzzi and a separate
